EFA Book Club 2021 Reading List
For the time being, the EFA Book Club will continue to meet via Zoom at 1:30-2:30 p.m. on the first
Monday of each month with the exception of January and August. An email notice with the Zoom link
to the meeting will be sent to EFA members a few days prior to each meeting. The books selected for the remainder of 2021 are listed below.
April 5 – The Luckiest Man: Life with John McCain by Mark Salter (2020).
May 3 – Three books about Ruth Bader Ginsburg were recommended. It was suggested that we group these books together for discussion during a monthly book club meeting. Members may read any, or all, of the three books for that month’s discussion: Conversations with RBG by Jeffrey Rosen; My Own Words by Ruth Bader Ginsburg (2010); Sisters in Law: How Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg Went to the Supreme Court and Changed the World by Linda Hirshman (2016).
June 7 – What Unites Us by Dan Rather (2019).
July 5 – The Real All Americans by Sally Jenkins (2008) – About the Carlisle Indian School football team).
September 6 – A Promised Land by Barack Obama (2020).
October 4 –Mozart’s Starling by Lyanda Lynn Haupt (2018).
November 1 – Bag Man: The Wild Crimes, Audacious Cover-up, and Spectacular Downfall of a Brazen Crook in the White House by Rachel Maddow and Michael Yarvitz (December 2020) – About Spiro Agnew.
December 6 – An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz (2015).
