Faculty Senate met on Sept. 8and Oct. 11. Two resolutions have been passed, including FSR-2022/2023-001 Priorities of the 2022-2023 University of Central Oklahoma Faculty Senate and FSR-2022/2023-002 Reaffirmation of Opposition to Weapons on Campus. In addition, one proposal has passed, FSP-2022/2023-001 Revisions to Faculty Handbook §1.1-1.2.
At our September meeting we had an open session with Provost Simmons and special presentations with Sharla Weathers, director of Disability Support Services and Senator Jes Addai.
At our October meeting we had open sessions with President Neuhold-Ravikumar and Provost Simmons. We also had a special presentation from President of Staff Senate, Adri Edwards-Johnson, Assistant Vice-President Erin Logan of the former Title IX Office (now the Office of Equal Opportunity) and Nathan Unruh, student organizer of Big Event.

Additionally, Faculty Senate hosted a Faculty Town Hall on Oct. 5, 2022, to field questions and hear concerns from faculty across campus. Notes and action items from that meeting will be posted on the Faculty Senate website when available.
