Maximize Your Learning Center Experience

Jill Lynch Silva, Talent Development Specialist

UCO offers numerous opportunities, both in-person and online, to improve your skills in various areas. Whether you are interested in learning about Microsoft Excel, improving your customer service skills, learning more about leadership or you need to finish your compliance training – you can find all these resources in the Learning Center at learningcenter.uco.edu. It is loaded with engaging modules and information that you can use at work or at home.

You may already be aware of these resources. But are you truly taking advantage of all the Learning Center has to offer? Of course, the primary focus is to allow access to learning and development opportunities, but it can also keep your courses and learning goals organized. Here are few highlights of how the Learning Center helps keep your learning and development on schedule.

  • Create a new learning set
    • This helps you organize your related modules, videos and instructor led training (ILT).
  • Set reminders for important modules
  • Automatically reassign important modules, that require renewal every 1 to 2 years (ex: UCO Screening Committee training, Golf Cart driving)
  • Access your current Learning Center Transcript
    • You’ll need to know this so you can attach your transcript to your performance appraisal.

Read more below for the specific steps on how to make these a part of your learning routine.
