Faculty, staff and student employees now can add or edit their chosen name,  displayed in Paycom as “preferred name,” and chosen pronoun, a custom field, via Paycom Employee Self-Service at any time. Currently, these fields do not connect to Banner or other systems.

Chosen (displayed in Paycom settings as “preferred”) names added to Paycom will be displayed throughout the system where a legal name is not required. To add a chosen name to Paycom, follow the chosen name guide provided on The Hub.

Additionally, chosen pronouns added to Paycom will be viewable by an individual’s supervisor and upline. To add chosen pronouns to Paycom, follow the chosen pronoun guide provided on The Hub.

Supervisors, chairs and deans can follow the viewing employee information guide to view their downline’s information, including chosen names and pronouns.

Student employees do not have access to The Hub. Guides should be downloaded and shared with them if they would like to make these changes.

Buddy Broncho made his first appearance in UCO's own newspaper The Vista. It was the October 3, 1932, issue where a Broncho appears wearing a UCO football uniform. He has appeared numerous times throughout the years from local Edmond papers in the 60's to state-wide papers in the 80's. The commissioning of the first ever live mascot appears in UCO's 1979 Bronze Book where Buddy Broncho made his first public appearance at Homecoming. Since that time, Buddy has been a fixture at UCO events and in the hearts of UCO students.
