Wellness challenges are back! Throughout the month of June, all full-time faculty and staff members are encouraged to get a preventative exam and earn a UCO t-shirt. UCO community members have fallen well below the national average in receiving preventative services, like annual exams, well-childcare, immunizations and cancer screenings. Remember, in-network preventative care is always paid at 100 percent because it’s less expensive to pay for screenings than for actual illnesses.
Preventative exams include:
- well-women exams
- prostate exams
- preventative vaccinations (Shingles, Pneumococcal, TDap, COVID-19 and Flu)
Two postcards will be mailed to each eligible faculty or staff member’s home – one announcing the challenge and one for your provider to sign. Any healthcare provider performing one of the services above can sign the postcard, but the service must be completed during the month of June 2021 to earn a t-shirt. If a faculty or staff member loses the postcard, forms are available on the website. A drop box will be available to drop off signed postcards in Human Resources, Bausher Place 209. After June, t-shirts will be ordered for each UCO member who completed the challenge (make sure your t-shirt size is updated in Paycom) and will be available to pick up towards the end of July.
