Stephanie Edwards, Manager of Web Strategy and IT Communications

The Office of Information Technology, in coordination with UCO Esports, assisted in planning and supporting a high school esports recruitment event in March, in the Nigh University Center Ballrooms on Central’s campus. The single-elimination tournaments, which spanned multiple video game titles, and community events was marketed to Edmond and Oklahoma City metro-area high schools to help build and foster relationships with the next generation of gamer.
The Office of Information Technology provided 144 wired network ports and 9 (30amp) dedicated circuits to power more than 200 computers, gaming stations and high resolution monitors as well as cutting-edge multimedia presentation technology for a high-quality gaming experience to UCO prospective students.
When campus reopens in June, the Office of Information Technology will be eager to help coordinate and support future Esports and recruiting events.
