Tech Corner: New innovations in technology resources and support

Stephanie Edwards, Manager of Web Strategy & IT Communications

The Office of Information Technology is bringing on several new services in early 2020. The alignment of these new services, including an updated printing solution providing print-from-anywhere on campus capabilities, is designed to better meet the needs of our students, faculty and staff. In order to align and make room for these new innovations in technology resources and support, the OIT Computer Lab, located in the Max Chambers Library, room 107, officially closed December 14, 2019.

Also, be on the lookout for the announcement and official move of the Technology Resource Center (TRC) to the Max Chambers Library, room 107. This will further align the UCO Service Desk, Technology Support, Technology Training and TRC services. This will create new collaboration opportunities with the library to better serve students and faculty.

More information about upcoming services and other new features will be advertised in the coming months. Keep an eye on your email, digital signage across campus, and within library spaces to learn more about these benefits and how you can take advantage of all of your UCO technology resources.

Buddy Broncho made his first appearance in UCO's own newspaper The Vista. It was the October 3, 1932, issue where a Broncho appears wearing a UCO football uniform. He has appeared numerous times throughout the years from local Edmond papers in the 60's to state-wide papers in the 80's. The commissioning of the first ever live mascot appears in UCO's 1979 Bronze Book where Buddy Broncho made his first public appearance at Homecoming. Since that time, Buddy has been a fixture at UCO events and in the hearts of UCO students.
