The UCO Staff Senate met Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019. Provost John Barthell was the guest speaker. Barthell briefed the Senate on the Alignment and Allocation process. He encouraged the Senate to remain informed and participative via feedback and attendance at community meetings and discussion sessions.
Two amendments to the Staff Senate Bylaws were brought before the Senate for debate and vote. SSA 2019/2020-001: Senate Committee Attendance Rules and SSA 2019/2020-002: Division Changes. Both amendments passed. These amendments can be viewed in their entirety on the UCO Staff Senate website.
The Staff Senate will meet Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Forensic Science Institute, Room 106. The meeting is open to the public. Please ensure you stay up to date on your current senators. Contact any senator from your division with topics or concerns that may impact UCO employees so that the Senate can best represent and assist you.

Buddy Broncho made his first appearance in UCO's own newspaper The Vista. It was the October 3, 1932, issue where a Broncho appears wearing a UCO football uniform. He has appeared numerous times throughout the years from local Edmond papers in the 60's to state-wide papers in the 80's. The commissioning of the first ever live mascot appears in UCO's 1979 Bronze Book where Buddy Broncho made his first public appearance at Homecoming. Since that time, Buddy has been a fixture at UCO events and in the hearts of UCO students.
