The UCO Staff Senate met Tuesday, Nov. 5. Dr. Mark Kinders, vice president for public affairs, and Justine Kendall, director of benefits, were guest speakers. Vice President Kinders spoke about the upcoming legislative session, primarily focusing on budget and gun laws. Ms. Kendall provided a summary of what to expect for the upcoming 2020 open enrollment period.
Resolution SSR 2019/2020-001: No Weapons on Campus, was brought for debate and vote. The resolution passed unanimously. Two new amendments to the bylaws were introduced – SSA 2019/2020-001: Senate Committee Attendance Rules and SSA 2019/2020-002: Division Changes. The Staff Senate will meet again Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. in the Forensic Science Institute, Room 106. The meeting is open to the public. Please ensure you stay up to date on your current senators.
