UCO-STLR Receives $85k from NSF

The University of Central Oklahoma recently received an $85,335 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) through the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program, a federal research grant that supports research and development across areas of science and technology helping companies de-risk technology for commercial success. This portion of the project is being managed by Dr. Jeff King, Executive Director of UCO’s Center for Excellence in Transformative Teaching and Learning, the unit that also runs the Student Transformative Learning Record (STLR).  This grant will help us use artificial intelligence to comb through anonymized student reflective writing to look for their transformative growth.
