Here is another exciting change in our department.  Instead of earning a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in six (6) years you now have the opportunity to do it in five (5) years.  This would shave off an entire year of school and course work!

Here are the details – Students expecting to graduate with an undergraduate degree in Psychology from UCO with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 may apply during the last semester of their junior year (or within 30 hours of graduation) for application to the Accelerated Degree Program in any of the following programs:

Psychology — Experimental Psychology M.S.

Psychology — Behavior Analysis M.S. (NEW MAJOR!!!)

Psychology — General Psychology M.S.

Psychology — Forensic Psychology M.S.

If accepted to the Accelerated Degree Program, students may take up to 9 graduate hours during their senior year that will count toward the Psychology bachelor’s degree as upper-elective credits as well as their respective Psychology M.S. degree.

If you would like to learn more about these changes please don’t hesitate to ask (

Have a great day!

We are excited to announce that starting this Fall semester several of our department’s programs are changing.

For our first major announcement – our undergraduate degree is changing from a Bachelor of Arts (BA) to a Bachelor of Science (BS).  That means that all newly declared Psychology majors will earn a BS and those who declared Psychology prior to this fall will earn a BA.  If you are interested in switching from the BA to the BS please contact our department’s advisor ( Lacey Taylor – ).  Please know that as we transition between the two degrees we will offer the courses for both.

More updates coming soon.

Have a great day,

Dr. Hancock
