McKenna Sanderson, a graduate of UCO, (and until recently the in-house Designer for the Department of Design) had a big win! “HOW” magazine gave her the news that she’d won the Outstanding Achievement award in the 2017 “HOW” In-House Design Awards for her entry titled Squared Up. Congratulations . . .  read more


ACM@UCO faculty member Sephra Scheuber released her new album “Pieces of Schema” on Tuesday, Aug. 22. The album is the antithesis of a concept album with each song twisting into a new musical perspective, blending the spirit of complex jazz and the spirit of bold punk. Sephra will perform songs from her new album on Friday, Sept. 22 at IAO Gallery . . .  read more


ACM will be hosting a master class with acclaimed musician Garland Jeffreys at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, in the ACM@UCO Songwriting Room located on the first floor of the building. The masterclass is FREE and open to the public.

Currently one of my favorite ways to spend a Friday night is at the UCO Jazz Lab. Apparently, the metro agrees with me. The Jazz Lab will be named best “Place for Live Local Music” when The Daily Oklahoman announces winners of the Readers’ Choice Awards later this month. Evidently, this is nothing new since they’ve won . . .  read more
