Kyle Cohlmia was born and raised in Stillwater, OK. She attended the University of Kansas, graduating in 2006 with a BA in art history and Italian and a minor in English. Soon after graduation, she relocated to Denver, CO, working for the Denver Art Museum before deciding to pursue graduate school at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Cohlmia was granted the opportunity to act as emerging curator for OVAC’s annual exhibit, Momentum, in 2016 and concurrently accepted the position as curator of exhibitions for the College of Fine Arts and Design at UCO where she currently works with local and national artists to exhibit at the Melton Gallery.
