The university is operating at Level 2 for the first two weeks of classes for the spring 2022 semester.
For classes, this means faculty will have the discretion to choose a fully remote format, hybrid format or fully in-person format. Masks will be mandatory the first two weeks for in-person classes, with faculty offering a plan for students unable to attend in person. These changes begin for classes Jan.12.
Visit the COVID-19 website to report a positive test, symptoms or exposure, for vaccine and testing information and for other COVID-19 resources.
University of Central Oklahoma Statement on Bias Related to the COVID-19 Pandemic
September 3, 2020
The University of Central Oklahoma’s shared values of Community, Character and Civility inform our commitment, during this period of national and global emergency, to an ethos of inclusion, transparency, collaboration and respect across the institution.
As part of that commitment, we celebrate the unique value of each of our traditional and non-traditional students, faculty, staff, administration and alumni, and we condemn in the strongest terms expressions of hate, bias and discrimination including any words and actions that single out and blame individuals or communities for the COVID-19 pandemic on the basis of race, ethnicity or culture.
The University of Central Oklahoma celebrates the global diversity of the Central community and of the local, national and global communities that we serve. We seek, during these trying times, to support all of the members of our community by providing and advocating for the resources that they need to ensure their safety and well-being, so that they may become productive, creative, ethical and engaged citizens and leaders in service to our global community.
Any member of the Central community who has experienced harassment, bias or discrimination related to concerns about the virus when participating in university related activities or events is encouraged to report that incident to the Office of the Inclusive Community Advocate by emailing ICReport@uco.edu or submit a report online.
