Happy HALLidays All Across Campus! 

 With the holiday season quickly approaching, locations across campus are getting in the seasonal spirit! Decorations are popping up in the residence halls, Thanksgiving is this week, and the semester is practically flying by. One of the best things about the holiday season is the food, and campus has plenty of opportunities to share a meal and a sense of belonging around the community table. A variety of great events and special meals have been prepared over the next month to help contribute to the spirit of the holidays here at Central.  

Edmond Community 

For residents who may be sticking around campus during the break, the Edmond Community is here to make everyone feel at home. The annual Edmond Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Nigh University Center Ballrooms. Thanks to the hundreds of volunteers and generous community members donating time and food, this event is provided no charge to those seeking friendly faces for the holiday.  


Buddy’s Dining Hall



On Monday, November 25th, don’t miss out on the Thanksgiving meal being served from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Indulge in the favorites including turkey and ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, and green beans. If dessert is the part of Thanksgiving you most look forward to, Buddy’s has it covered! Pecan pie, pumpkin pie, sweet potato pie, and three different kinds of cookies will be on the menu 


President’s Study Breakfast: 

On December 9th, Buddy’s will host the bi-annual President’s Study Breakfast, hosted for the first time by President Patti Neuhold Ravikumar. The breakfast will be held from 8:00 p.m.  10:00 p.m. and is free to all UCO students with a valid student ID. The menu features “Patti Cakes” (pancakes made by President Neuhold-Ravikumar), eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and other breakfast essentials. 

Don’t miss out, as the first 200 in the door will receive a free commemorative Buddy’s sweatshirt to mark the end of Buddy’s Café on campus in preparation for the new dining hall, Ayers Kitchen, to open this spring.  



This new coffee shop, located in the south wing of the Liberal Arts building, is featuring several seasonal drink options to get students into the holiday spirit. If espresso is the drink of choice, a peppermint mocha and a chocolate covered berries drink is available in any size! Chai tea is a popular choice, and Pegasus hasn’t left it out with the inclusion of a pumpkin spice chai option to spice up the season. The classic hot chocolate takes a seasonal turn with the addition of blackberry or cinnamon flavors. Finally, since Oklahoma can’t decide if it wants to be hot or cold, Pegasus has included smoothies on their seasonal drink list with strawberry, peach, and raspberry flavors to choose from! 


Starbucks needs no introduction when it comes to a seasonal drink menu, and luckily, there is one located right on UCO’s campus in the Nigh University Center. This location is great for a Salted Caramel Latte on the way or class, or a Peppermint Mocha after a long day of studying. The best part of this location is that Flex Dollars are accepted not only on drink purchases, but on cups and other Starbucks merchandise. Students can use their flex to stock up of stocking stuffers or escape the cold with a delicious seasonal drink!
