CAST BIOS

Gabriella Beck is a Senior Musical Theatre major at the University of Central Oklahoma. She grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma. Gabriella has performed many onstage roles, standouts of which include Johanna in “Sweeney Todd”, Ariel in “Disney’s the Little Mermaid”, and Wednesday Addams in “The Addams Family.” In addition to her work on stage, she has performed for four years as a character performer for Character Connection Co. and previously performed as an underwater mermaid at the Blue Zoo Aquarium. Gabriella is so excited for this opportunity and would like to thank Ryan Steer and the entire cast and creative team of Macabret for their encouragement and kindness throughout this process, as well as her parents for their endless love and support.

Meghan Haynes (Norman, OK) is a Theatre Education and Vocal Performance double Major. This is her first show with UCO Musical Theatre and she is so thrilled to be here! Previous credits: UCO Theatre- Corpus Christi (Swing); Upstage Theatre of Oklahoma- Heathers (Heather Chandler); Sooner Theatre- Annie (Ronnie Boyland). Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), Les Miserables (Eponine). Many thanks to her parents, amazing voice teacher Dr. Kevin Eckard, Ryan and the whole Macabret team for taking a chance on me. Matt. 6:33-34. 

 

Alyssa Hedding is a Junior Musical Theatre Major and Dance Minor from Flower Mound, Texas. She is super excited for her second Macabret here at UCO. Her favorite credits include Rock of Ages (Ensemble, Dream Sherrie), Mamma Mia! (Rosie), and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Smitty). She wants to thank her family and friends for all of their support, and Ryan for a great experience as always and for giving her the chance to choreograph for a show for the first time.

Auburn Hilliard is a Senior Musical Theatre Major from Edmond Oklahoma, studying voice with Dr. Barbara DeMaio. Some of Her favorite roles include Sherrie (Rock of Ages), Sophie (Mamma Mia), and Gingy (Shrek the Musical). She would like to thank her entire family for their love, Dr. DeMaio for the fantastic training, and her parents for all of their support.

 

Laila Jalil is a Sophomore MT student originally from Allen, TX and is currently studying voice with Dr. Barbara DeMaio. She was previously in the ensemble of Sweeney Todd and was featured in the Freshman Showcase last year. Laila would like to thank Ryan Steer for creating this show from scratch and inspiring her to become a more confident performer and person.

 

Chloe Kenyon is a sophomore musical theatre major from Michigan. She is thrilled to be making her UCO Jazz Lab debut in, “Macabret: Coven”. Chloe was last seen in the ensemble of “Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”. Some of Chloe’s past credits include Kathy Seldon, “Singin’ in the Rain”, Polly Baker, “Crazy for You”, and Abigail Williams, “The Crucible”. She was voted BroadwayWorld’s (Detroit) 2018 Best Actress in a musical (Dorothy Gale, “The Wizard of Oz”). Chloe is grateful to Ryan Steer for this opportunity and her vocal teacher Mary Bro Wierick. She would like to thank the entire cast and crew for this wonderful experience. Let’s get spooky!

 

Elaina Lanthripe is a junior transfer from Moore, Oklahoma. She previously studied Vocal Performance, and is so grateful to be making her UCO debut as an MT in Macabaret: Coven! She currently studies under Dr. Danielle L. Herrington. Some of Elaina’s most memorable past credits include Cosette, “Les Miserables”, Babette “Beauty and the Beast” and sharing the stage with her father in “Mamma Mia!”. She would like to thank her parents, sister, and boyfriend for forever supporting and encouraging her to pursue her dreams. “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.”

 

Trent Mosty is a senior musical theatre major studying with Dr. Kevin Eckard. Some of his favorite credits include Eddie Kettle (Very Good Eddie), Mendel (Falsettos), Pirelli (Sweeney Todd), Duke of Plaza-Toro (The Gondoliers) & Gabe (Next to Normal). He has had the pleasure of working on a new musical, The Danger Year with Georgia Stitt & Hunter Foster. He has even had the distinct honor and privilege of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. He is so grateful for the endless support from his family & friends. He is ecstatic to be a part of this year’s Macabret and he hopes you enjoy the show!

 

Ireland Reneau is a senior Musical Theatre Major and Dance Minor from Fort Worth, TX.  Some of her favorite past roles include Margot in Legally Blonde, Victoria in CATS, Alice in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and The Witch in Into the Woods.  She would like to thank Ryan, Eric, Hayley, Pierson, Michael, Hui Cha, Jessica, and the entire team involved in Macabret — this show has been a magical experience and an incredible opportunity, and she’s so grateful for everyone’s hard work and support!  She would also like to thank Trent Mosty for always being so… well, understanding. 🙂 Enjoy the show!!

 

Trinity Snodgrass is a junior musical theatre major from Edmond, Oklahoma. Some of her past credits include Belle, “Beauty and the Beast,” Woman 1, “And the World Goes Round,” and Maria, “Sound of Music.” She is currently studying voice with Dr. Barbra Demaio. Trinity is so thankful to her family and to everyone who has directed, choreographed, or helped in any way for Macab!! She is grateful for this opportunity and sends love out to the rest of the cast!! Witching you a very haunted Halloween!

Nolia Sweatt is a sophomore musical theatre major at the University of Central Oklahoma. She is currently studying voice with Dr. Herrington. Nolia is very excited to be a part of Macabret and learn from Ryan Steer. Nolia was a swing in Uco’s production of Wedding Singer. During the Christmas season, you can see Nolia singing and dancing aboard the Polar Express train ride. Nolia would like to thank her loving friends and family for their support!

 

Sophia Iris Williams is from Spokane Valley, Washington and is a Sophomore Musical Theatre major here at UCO. She was recently seen in the ensemble of UCOMT’s Sister Act in the Jazz lab this last Spring. She is currently recovering from a vocal cord injury, but is ecstatic to still be involved with the Macabret this season! Some favorite roles include Nellie Oleson in ‘Little House on the Prairie the Musical’ (Spokane Valley Summer Theatre) and Sandra in ‘Big Fish’ (UHS Theatre). She would like to thank Ryan, Jessica, Michael and Alyssa for believing in her and helping her grow so much as a dancer this semester! Enjoy the show!

Hailey Wolfe is a senior musical theatre major from Houston, Texas. She is so excited to spend this spooky season haunting the Jazz Lab with the rest of her coven (and Trent)! Past credits include Mamma Mia! (Sophie), Into the Woods (Cinderella), This Is Our Youth (Jessica), Sweeney Todd (Johanna), and Spring Awakening (Martha). She hopes you enjoy the show, or that it haunts your nightmares forever! Or maybe both.

ARTISTIC STAFF BIOS

Hayley Martini is stoked to be back with Ryan Steer and Eric Grigg in this year’s Macabret! This is her second time directing with Ryan and she’s loved every minute of it! Hayley is hoping to build her directing resume so she can list more credits in her next bio She can be found singing around OKC and Norman and hopes to pursue more pop/rock endeavors in the near future. @yelyahmartini

 

Ryan Steer is ecstatic to be back with “Macabret.” As a performer he has toured with the 1st National of “Anything Goes”, “A Chorus Line” and “42nd Street,” has been featured off-broadway, at Town Hall NYC (“Jane Krakowski Live”), Paris Las Vegas (“Sex Tips…”), and numerous regional theatres, including Paper Mill Playhouse (“Damn Yankees”, “South Pacific”), Ogunquit Playhouse (“White Christmas”), Westchester Broadway (“Backwards in High Heels”), McCarter Theatre (“A Christmas Carol”), Arizona Broadway (“Cats”), Surflight Theatre (“Ragtime”, “Hairspray”), and many more. Ryan is a UCO Music Theatre alum and has taught jazz, tap, and musical theatre dance styles classes for the program. He has directed/choreographed for UCO’s “And The World Goes ‘Round”, “Clue”, “Ain’t Misbehavin’’” and last year’s “Macabret”. Much love to his family, this amazing cast and crew, Eric Grigg, Dr. Greg White, Kelli Cormack, and YOU for joining us.
