Peak is a modern grid based WordPress theme, boasting a masonry grid that adapts to any screen size or device thrown at it. First-Year Experience, UCO

More Dollars for Scholars

We know the spring semester just started and you’re probably still getting back into the swing of things at Central. You probably haven’t started thinking about the 2020-21 school year, but now is the perfect time to start! Dust off that list of achievements, campus and community involvement and those personal statements, because the UCO Scholarship Portal is now open.

More than 450 scholarships are available to Central students for the 2020-21 school year – each varying in eligibility, requirements, amount awarded and terms and conditions. Best of all, it is easy to apply via the UCO Scholarship Portal. The scholarship portal allows students to search for available scholarships, complete an application and submit applications for all scholarships they qualify for.

To make sure Central students, including you, are confident throughout the application process, there are several upcoming workshops scheduled that will demonstrate how to navigate the scholarship portal. Workshops are in Room 226 in the Library and are offered at the following times:

  • 3-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23;
  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29; and,
  • 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Don’t wait too long to apply, the application deadline is 5 p.m. Feb. 7.

Not a current UCO student? Don’t worry, we have you covered!

Fall 2020 incoming freshman: scholarships for up to $2,000 per year will automatically be awarded to students who qualify! That means any incoming freshman who applies to UCO by 5 p.m. Feb. 3, 2020, and hits the eligibility requirements, will have scholarship funds available to them when they enroll. Learn more.

At the Office of University Communications at the University of Central Oklahoma, we bleed bronze and blue — Pantone 116 and 282, to be exact. The University Communications staff of professionals promotes Central to the community through news releases, media relations, advertising, branding and marketing initiatives, publications and electronic media — and, of course, using the university's official colors (that's the Pantone 116 and 282). We believe the University of Central Oklahoma is a thriving, opportunity-rich institution located in one of the best metropolitan areas in the country with innovative students, faculty and staff who make a difference in our world. It is our pleasure to share the Central story with you.
