Dean’s Advocacy Board: Meet Jay Evans

Niccole Miller, Ph.D., MBA COB Annual Report

Jay Evans, Managing Partner, Two Structures Homes

Jay Evans is the founder of Two Structures LLC, a new home building company located in Edmond, Oklahoma. Two Structures is a partnership between Evans and his wife, Tricia Evans. The pair also owns JTE Properties LLC, which invest in rental real estate. Additionally, Evans is the majority partner in Kaleidoscope Paint LLC, a painting contractor founded in May 2014, as well as partnerships with other investors.

Evans founded JTE Properties in April 2004, flipping houses and “collecting” rent houses. Gradually, he transitioned into new home construction, and Two Structures LLC was born in April 2009. He has expertise in residential land development, new home construction, rental real estate and home building sub-contracting.

Over the past decade, Evans has established Two Structures Homes as a leader in Oklahoma new home building. The Oklahoma City based company builds expertly crafted homes with advanced materials. Evans believes that building high quality, energy-efficient homes is not only the “green” thing to do, but it also makes sense economically for the homeowners. Every dollar goes further with Two Structures because they build with long-term value and energy savings in mind.

Evans is a member of the Oklahoma State Home Builder’s Association. He believes in education and is constantly seeking opportunities to learn more about the construction business. He is a certified Graduate Master Builder, Master Certified Green Professional and Sales Professional CSP.

He is also a member of the University of Central Oklahoma College of Business Advocacy Board. The board serves as the professional advisory group to the dean of College of Business in strategic planning efforts and promotes the interests of the college. Evans and Tricia have established two endowments that fund scholarships for adult students regardless of their GPA.

Evans is a graduate of UCO with a Bachelor of Business Administration awarded in 1996.
