MSBA Guest Speaker Series
April 25 2022

Special Guests

Niccole Miller, Ph.D., MBA COB Monthly Newsletter

We welcomed so many special guests to the College of Business in the months of March and April. Thank you so much to our donors, employers and alumni for visiting with our students and sharing your wisdom – we are so grateful!

“The Power of Supply Chain” speaker series in March featured Jay Evans, co-owner and founder of Two Structures Homes. Evans provided valuable insights on the current situation of supply chain disruptions in the construction industry and how it affects home prices across the entire Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Additionally, he provided valuable insights to the student attendees on the challenges and pitfalls of entrepreneurship.

The Student Chapter of the Association of Information Systems (AIS) welcomed UCO alumni Shawn Lindsay, database administration team lead, and Weston King, database administrator III, to discuss working at Paycom. Paycom is an Oklahoma City-based S&P 500 Company listed as Fast Company‘s World’s Most Innovative Companies in 2022.

A panel of employees from The Boeing Company spoke to MBA students April 19 about their company, its culture and their path to leadership. Students had the opportunity to ask many questions and make professional connections with the panelists.
