UCO MBA Student Fueled to Succeed in the Classroom and on the Race Track
At the spry age of six, Bryce Cornet discovered his passion for racing while piloting his first kart. Fast forward 18 years and Bryce is currently six for six in all Formula Mazda races, has claimed three track records and is the current SCCA Hoosier Super Tour Championship Leader.
Bryce hasn’t always had a clear path to the finish line. In 2010, at the age of 15, he began having heart palpitations and fainting symptoms. Bryce was soon diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) and Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), both conditions that affect his heart. Bryce underwent two catheter ablation procedures. Due to this, Bryce was sidelined for the next seven years but with some hard work and dedication, Bryce was able to make a full return to racing in 2017. The story of Bryce’s racing journey was recently featured in a film, “Driven: The Bryce Cornet Story.” . . .
