adjunct/art is a show that honors the work of the full-time professional artists that support the Department of Art at the University of Central Oklahoma. There are a lot of words that can be used to describe the nature of adjunct faculty, but at UCO, we know that while their time here may be temporary, their impact is permanent. . . .

Alchemy is defined as a seemingly magical process of transformation. This exhibition features the work of current faculty and recent alumni of the University of Central Oklahoma’s Art Department in conjunction with UCO’s 125th anniversary. Each faculty member was given the opportunity to choose an alumnus to pair with for this exhibition. These works of art highlight the breadth of technical skills, creativity, materials and processes that each artist uniquely applies to create a masterful piece. We hope this exhibition demonstrates our commitment to support student work, celebrate the accomplishments of our alumni and recognize each faculty member’s lifelong commitment to inspire new generations of makers. . . .
