The Oklahoma State Election Board held a press release last Monday releasing the results of Oklahoma’s first authorized post-election audits. Announced by State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax, the audits confirmed the accuracy of all June 28th primary elections in the state of Oklahoma.

Thirty-three (33) county election boards across the state conducted audits of randomly selected precincts and races from the June 28th primary. The audits, conducted on July 28th included Election Day ballots, mailed absentee ballots, and in-person absentee ballots. The public was invited to attend all audits.

State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax stated that these post election audits “add an additional layer of transparency and security to Oklahoma elections.” Ziriax went on to say that Oklahoma “has one of the most accurate and secure voting systems in the world,” citing the post election audits as evidence of this.
