Happy early Fourth of July! It’s summertime in Oklahoma, and with that comes poolside parties and concerts. Lots and lots of concerts. If you’re a festival goer, you probably know all the cool stuff happening around the United States, but just in case, we’ve curated a July list of Oklahoma City-area faves that you should check off your list! July 1: Pixies with The Wombats @ Jones Assembly, OKC

July 3: Red, White and BOOM! @ Oklahoma State Fair, OKC

This is definitely your classic celebration of America with tunes like “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America,” and, of course, fireworks! Oh, and it’s FREE.

July 4: LibertyFest ParkFest @ Mitch Park, Edmond

Music, watermelon, henna tattoos and family-friendly events. Yes, food trucks will be there.

July 6: Solo @ The Patriarch, Edmond

What’s not to love about craft beer? Vibe to the electric blues of KALO on the lawn.

July 6: Sophia Massad single release party with Bowlsey and Johnny Manchild @ VZD, OKC *FEATURED EVENT*

We can’t get away from plugging our Jazz Lab venue in Edmond; this place is seriously great. Catch Kyle Dillingham & Horseshoe Road for some Thursday evening country music.

July 19: Teasing Weasel @ Hafer Park, Edmond

Hafer Park in Edmond doesn’t get a lot of love, so we are excited to be able to pump up some promo for the upcoming T.W. show! Part of the Edmond Summer Concert Series.

July 21: Black Label Society @ Diamond Ballroom, OKC

Feeling a little heavy metal? Catch Black Label Society at the Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City while they are on tour.

July 21: Heard on Hurd *FEATURED EVENT*

This Edmond event hosted by the Citizen’s Bank of Edmond is one of the biggest spotlights for our ACM student artists. Enjoy ACM-affiliated music, pop-up shops and food trucks on Hurd street. It’s the best place to be on a Saturday evening.

July 24: Pentatonix @ OKC Zoo Amphitheater

Okay, the Oklahoma City Zoo may not be your first thought when thinking of venues, but trust us, these guys have their shit together. For all of you a capella lovers, Pentatonix is a household name. And they are amazing in concert.

July 27: Book of Love @ Tower Theatre, OKC

This Philadelphia-based group travels all over the States performing, and we’re lucky to have them stopping in Oklahoma City! They are great blend of synthpop and new wave music.

July 28: Brands & Bands @ OKC Outlet Mall

*Special Mention* July 28: Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks @ The Vanguard, Tulsa

Okay, so Tulsa isn’t fortunate enough to reside in the 405, but we still love our 918 brothers and sisters, so they definitely get a mention on this list, especially because this group is too good to pass up! The Vanguard is also a great performance venue; if you haven’t been there, make this performance a destination.
