June 1: Roger Daltrey new album “As Long As I Have You” releases

ACM’s first masterclass guest Roger Daltrey’s new solo album has guests like Pete Townshend on it!

June 1: Flaming Lips Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 releases
Preorder
The Flaming Lips will release its first “hits” compilation on both CD and vinyl. All of the songs feature former Masterclass and ACM@UCO collaborator Steven Drozd as well as several of ACM’s faculty and staff members!

June 1 and June 15:  Cutter Elliott live @ El Toro Chino, Norman

ACM alumnus Cutter Elliott will be performing live at El Toro Chino in Norman, Okla., on June 1 and June 15. Cutter performs traditional country music.

June 2: Horse Thief & John Calvin Abney concert @ Tower Theatre, OKC

ACM alumnus and Horse Thief lead singer Cameron Neal will be making an appearance at the Tower Theatre – their last performance in Oklahoma for awhile! Word on the street is that Horse Thief is coming out with a 3rd record in 2019, so keep your eyes on them for a release date.

June 7: Buckethead @ Tower Theatre OKC

Buckethead is a virtuoso guitarist and multi-instrumentalist who performs within many genres of music. He has been voted number 8 on a list in GuitarOne magazine of the “Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time” as well as being included in Guitar World’s lists of the “25 all-time weirdest guitarists” and is also known for being one of the fastest guitar players on planet earth.

June 8-10: Spring Awakening Music Festival @ Addams-Medill Park, Chicago

AFROJACK, BORGORE, CARNAGE, DASH BERLIN, DIMITRI VEGAS & LIKE MIKE, HARDWELL, KASKADE, STEVE AOKI and TIËSTO headline this Chicago-based EDM weekend festival. General admission day passes can be purchased anywhere from $79-$99 while 3-day VIPs are looking at $319. The lineup alone is a dream come true.

June 9: Saint Monore @The Deli, Norman, OK

A group made of some ACM alumni, Saint Monore will be performing at The Deli in Norman, Okla.! The Deli is Norman’s longest running live music venue. Must be 21 to enter.

June 10: Coathangers @ 89th Street, OKC

With Husbands and LCG and the X. From Paste magazine: “The Coathangers’ transition from raw to razor-sharp was essentially complete by 2014’s Suck My Shirt, but Nosebleed Weekend displays an even greater capacity for churning out maniacally captivating tunes.”

June 12: “All Gates Open: The Story of Can” book releases

June 21: Don’t Tell Dena @ The Soundpony, Tulsa

The Oklahoma City-based Psychedelic/Indie rock band Don’t Tell Dena was started by Chris Krummrich and Sean Kanaly, later adding two fellow ACM@UCO students Campbell Young and Triston Lightner. With influences such as Pink Floyd, The Killers, Walk The Moon, and Panic! at the Disco, Don’t Tell Dena began to discover their true sound.

June 22: Dawes new album “Passwords” releases

Dawes is an American folk rock band from Los Angeles, California. Dawes is composed of brothers Taylor (guitars and vocals) and Griffin Goldsmith (drums), along with Wylie Gelber (bass) and Lee Pardini (keyboards).

June 29: Adam & Kizzie Album Release Show @ Tower Theatre, OKC

Adam & Kizzie have been married and performing their original music for seven years. Having released two awesome albums and two incredible music videos, they are set to release their third album this summer with more exciting developments to come.

June 29: Don’t Tell Dena @ The Root, OKC
