Trevor McBane Headlines ACM@UCO’s High Noon Showcase on Sept. 19

In August, The Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma (ACM@UCO) launched the High Noon Showcase, its free, public concert series, at times featuring ACM affiliated artists, as well as great musicians we want to highlight.

On Sept. 19, recent “American Idol” top-24 finalist and former ACM student Trevor McBane brings his authentic Okie twang to High Noon.

On Sept. 19, recent “American Idol” top-24 finalist and former ACM student Trevor McBane brings his authentic Okie twang to High Noon.

He graduated from Savanna High School in 2014, where he introduced himself to his junior FFA camp in a very Johnny Cash-like way: “Hi, I’m Trevor McBane and I love to sing.” And sing he does.

McBane left ACM to chase his country music dreams, auditioning for and becoming a season 16 contestant on American Idol in 2018. He sang his way into the top 24, earning endorsements from celebrity judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan.

Before that, he performed with Savanna, Oklahoma-based folk/Americana quartet Consider the Raven. If you’re unfamiliar with Savanna, it’s near Checotah. Music fans here fans know where that is. He graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 2016. Learn more about Trevor McBane at facebook.com/theguyunderthehat.
