Director of our Contemporary Music Business program Nick Ley will be presenting as part of Walrus Audio Effects Ed lineup at the 2018 Norman Music Fest on April 28! He will hold a discussion about selling bi-product and helping musicians identify new revenue streams. He will also be giving away a pedal during each discussion session!

ACM@UCO student Sophia Massad to release single May 4
ACM@UCO student Sophia Massad will be releasing a new single May 4! The single, “Insecurities,” opens with a beautiful piano solo before adding Massad’s powerful vocals and a guitar riff. The single will release on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Google Play and all other music platforms.

ACM@UCO STUDENT KALE DUMAS RELEASES SINGLE, “ON PAPER”
ACM@UCO sophomore Kale Dumas has released his first pop single, “On Paper.” The song shows hints of inspiration from bands and artists such as Hansen, John Mayer and Ed Sheeran. In an interview with The Oklahoman, Dumas explained his desire to go far in the music industry and thanked ACM faculty for teaching him more about the recording process.

MAVIS STAPLES CANCELS METRO MUSIC FEST PERFORMANCE, THE TEXAS GENTLEMEN MOVE SET TIMES
Previously announced headliner Mavis Staples will cancel her Metro Music Fest performance April 7. Staples must tend to a family emergency, and we wish her the best!
The Texas Gentlemen will be covering Staples’ performance time at 7:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.
