African American Faculty and Staff Welcome Back Lunch

The African American Faculty Staff Association (AAFSA) would like to welcome you to another exciting academic year at the University of Central Oklahoma.
To start this year off right, AAFSA will be hosting ‘Come Meet Your Fam’ on August 30, 2018 in the Nigh University Center, Carl Albert Room (300) starting at 2:00 p.m.
This come-and-go program is designed to welcome students to UCO and give them an opportunity to learn more about AAFSA while gaining insight on how to be a successful student.
This is also an opportunity for AAFSA members to fellowship and learn more about the African American Faculty/Staff Association and our upcoming programs. Please come out for good food, good music, and good fun!

UCO Homecoming Tailgate
In the spirit of Homecoming, AAFSA partners with UCO alumni and other organizations to offer an afternoon of fellowship, food and fun before the big UCO homecoming game.

African American Faculty and Staff Association sponsors Black Scholars Research Symposium
February 13, 2018, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in the Nigh University Center Clara Luper Room (312)
The African American Faculty & Staff Association sponsored the Black Scholars Research Symposium entitled Roots of Resilience. Faculty, staff and students were invited to join us as we celebrated the research and scholarship among UCO Black scholars who are faculty or current doctoral students. You will enjoy hearing the backgrounds and interests of scholars in their brief presentations on a range of topics related to special education, diversity, music, and corporate spin.

African American Faculty and Staff Exhibition of Black Excellence
The African American Faculty & Staff Association welcomed all to come and enjoy a celebration of Black Excellence. This come-and-go event was held in the Nigh University Center Will Rogers Room on February 19, 2016. We showcased a selection of African Americans from family members, professors, civil rights leaders and more that have made both personal and worldwide impacts.
