It is Commencement Saturday at UCO. Major staff and faculty crew under the leadership of Dr. Lori Beesley had labored for days to set the stage and then moved as one to produce a memorable day for graduates and their families. All will head home tonight fatigued, but with a deserved sense of accomplishment and with our gratitude.
You LIL students are headed home, already there, off on a variety of adventures including reaching out to the less fortunate among us.
I have benefitted immeasurably from the time that we were able to spend in sessions this semester. Thank you. I hope that some of our interactions and these messages proved useful to you.
I will be watching your continuing development with more than passing interest. You were the first cohort of leadership students with which I connected after Susanne and I returned to UCO. I believe that you are capable of accomplishing almost any worthy goal, and together, you will be formidable.
Please remain is contact as you proceed to write your story here at UCO and elsewhere.
I believe in you. You can be the change. Take care of each other.
Wishing you most joyful holidays, peace and prosperity.
